Open 24 Hours

There are  40 poems written by Robert Balas, each one illustrated by a different  Sydney artist.

The colourful, somewhat eclectic nature and the  colloquialism of the locales of Darlinghurst and Kings Cross are  explored in this cross genre book.

A shared reality between the  poetic and visual art imagery is highlighted on every open page.

Both  suburbs have always been 'open 24 hours' and the poems and paintings  reflect upon this theme.

It is the most contemporary book written on  Sydney art and poetry and is at present finding a place on the  essential reading lists of some Sydney colleges.
