Gordon was a Presbyterian Minister who bacame a missionary in Western Canada, giving him first hand knowledge of the scenes he wrote about. Printed many times, this is rather uncommon in the first Canadian edition, Basis of the 1921 silent film, "Cameron of the Royal Mounted." 454 pp. Illustrated endpapers. Good condition in tan cloth with gold lettering, embossed front cover - some spine slant, front hinge starting, minor rubbing and wear. Gift inscription dated December 1912.
