The libretto was adapted by the composer from a serialized novella by Rudolf Tesnohldek and Stanislav Lolek. <P> Sir Charles Mackerras and Wyn Davies shared conduting duties. David Poutney was producer and John Easton was his assistant. Maria Bjornson was designer, Stuart Hopps was choreographer with Nick Chelton as lighting designer. <P> Anne Dawson was the vixen. John King was the badger and Margaret Morgan, sang the hen.
