Map produced by the Allied Intelligence, showing the state of knowledge of the German order of battle in Normandy as at 6-5-44.; (3.) Child's Guide to the Far Shore-basic instructions issued on May 1944 to naval personel of Force 'S' (Sword Beach) in the Eastern Naval Task Force.; (4) Map of Sword Beach, assaulted on D-Day by the British Second Army commanded by Lieutenant-Gen. Sir Miles Dempsey.; (5.) Handbill based on a poster produced by the Admirality in 1944, showing different types of British & American landing craft.; (6.) Message from the Supreme Commander, Gen. Eisenhower to French civilians in the battle zone on D-Day.; (7.) Front page from the EVENING DISPATCH, Birmingham, 6 June, 1944.; (8.) German Poster containing a statement issued in Berlin on 6 June, 1944.; (9.) Extract from the pocket diary of Sergeant G.E. Hughes, June 1944 (1st Battalion, Royal Hampshire Regiment, landed at Arromanches in the initial assault wave at about 7:20 a.m., promoted from corporal to Sergeant on June 9.; (10.) Letter from Gen. Sir Bernard Montgomery, Commander-in-Chief, 21st Army Group & overall ground force commander for the invasion to his friend Major-Gen.
