The spine has six compartments ornately decorated in gilt and separated by raised bands. The title is lettered in gilt on a contrasting label. Front and rear boards have an ornate gilt border. The binding is firm, the text block tight and the pages are generally clean with a little spotting to the end papers.The paste downs and page edges are attractively marbled.
