Added are 8 sheets of pencil drawings (one in watercolour) of mainly Diospyros. Some are dated: 30 October 1871 (Herb. British Mus.), November 1871 (Hort. Paris & Thuret's Garden in Antibes) & 19 December 1871. One is marked ''Diospyros perforata, sp. nov., Ceram I., De Vriese, Hb. Leiden n. 29''.
